Conflict, Collaboration and Community Workshop

Conflict, Collaboration and Community
Building Bridges that Last

Theorists and experts agree that conflict and crisis is a prime opportunity for growth.  While this may be true, when faced with a difficult colleague, parent or child our commitment to resolving conflict and maintaining a collaborative atmosphere may take a back seat to resentment, negativity, disappointment and a host of other behaviors that can be difficult to overcome. In this workshop we will explore why our connections with others go astray, the fundamentals of positive collaboration and how we can each participate in enriching ways.

Topics include:

  • Origins of conflict and human development
  • Key strategies and skills for collaboration & building rapport,
  • Communication skills, mending relationships & bridge-building
  • Listening skills & non-verbal behavior

This workshop will include didactic instruction; role-plays, experiential exercises and concrete strategies to improve interpersonal relationships
